The Morning of Monday, February 26, 2007
The Thursday and Friday before the 26th, we had sleet, hail and rain all in the same storm. There was so much hail balls on the ground that it felt like you were walking on gravel. I even had to cover my head when walking across campus because the hail hurt when it hit on you. The rain and sleet froze, of course, that night and the entire weekend, we had snow fall consistently. We got so much snow, ice, rain, anything you can think of that tree branches of at least 8-12 inches wide broke. I was amazed at how low some of the trees were hanging on campus. I had to take some pictures the morning of the 26th because the sun was shining and it was simply a gorgeous day.

Looking towards central campus (I don't know directions)

The Campanile - Iowa State's "Trademark

Allison and I on our way to class

Sun poking through a buried berry tree.

Look at the Iowa blue sky. I have to admit... the sky here doesn't
compare to Montana's sky!

That would be a layer of ice underneath the layer of snow.

I thought this looked interesting.

Beardshear Hall

A broken tree that blocked the walkway. This tree had to be around
6-9 inches in width.

The weight of the ice and snow making the branches lean to the ground.

All the trees/bushes leaning in... I loved it!

This is eye level.

There's Allison walking on the modified walkway.

The UDCC (on the right) where I eat most of the time.

I'm glad I don't have a bike...
